Bringing Hospital Care to the Home
Global Emerging Innovations and the Challenges Ahead
RECORDED ON WEDNESDAY, 11 OCTOBER 2023
Bringing hospital care to the home appeals to all patients worldwide. The growing trend, tightly aligned with healthcare consumerism, allows patients to recover faster with less financial, mental, and emotional distress while also relieving resource strain for most hospital administrators. However, "hospital at home" is not available to everyone. Although certain therapeutic conditions and circumstances cannot utilize this service, the demand for this convenient approach to care continues to rise– as well as the divide on who can access and/or utilize this opportunity.
Having hospital service in the home heavily relies on an array of combination technologies including but not limited to artificial intelligence (AI), remote patient monitoring and therapeutic devices (RPMs/RTMs), 4/5G connectivity, feasibility, and accessibility to both human and technological resources that can support it. This webinar highlights the new approaches to technology design from emerging global tech innovators addressing chronic and acute care conditions.
