The IEEE SA Gen AI for Telehealth Virtual Meet-Up garnered a community of 1,300+ participants dedicated to exploring the profound impact of Generative and Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the future of healthcare.

While our live monthly virtual meet-up series wrapped up on  13 June 2026, the work continues. A comprehensive white paper capturing the collective insights, references, and frameworks from these sessions is currently in development.

Throughout this initiative, our group dove deep into the exciting world of Generative AI, aiming to understand how it can revolutionize digital health technologies while ensuring accuracy and resilience. Through engaging participant discussions and expert guest speaker sessions, we unraveled both the immense potential of AI and the guardrails needed for its trusted, validated use in the healthcare system.

Recognizing the importance of responsibly and ethically embracing AI technologies, this diverse community of technologists, clinicians, patients, researchers, regulatory professionals, ethicists, and lawyers shared valuable references, case studies, and insights.
