GLOBAL INSIGHTS WEBINAR SERIES:
Driving a resilient and inclusive digital transformation through innovation, science and emerging technologies for a green, sustainable future
Following global disruptions caused by the pandemic, as well as more localized disruptions caused by environmental conditions, the fragility of systems underpinning modern societies has become obvious. Technologies, especially ICTs (Information Communications Technologies) have the potential to mitigate those disruptions, as was seen in a large-scale migration of work and school to virtual mode, continuation of many services being delivered, but this was not without challenge. It needs to be ensured that human and key values are at the center of the technology interventions to ensure inclusive, consistent, and human-centric resilience that does not have negative impacts immediately or down the road, such as the privacy-implications from data collected or cybersecurity risks.
This webinar series will address how to build resiliency during times of global crisis to ensure global trade, critical infrastructure, supply chains and technology are available to all ecosystems.

Importance of SMART Logistics, Uninterrupted Cold Chains and Commerce to Fast Track Inclusive Economic Recovery and the SDGs
Tuesday, 14 March 2023 | 10:00AM - 12:00PM UTC | 5:00AM - 7:00AM EST
As a result of the global pandemic, geopolitical disruptions, and climate change, the importance of resilient supply chains has become a global priority. The unprecedented disruptions to access to vital medical supplies, food, and energy have caused a humanitarian crisis in many parts of the world. This has also accelerated global cooperation and the need for digital transformation, modernization, integration, and streamlining multi-modal transportation systems, along with climate-friendly uninterrupted cold chains to stabilize economies and our survivability.
Learn how countries are using ICTs for resilience, and how that is translated into scaleable and repeatable standards. Attendees are encouraged to join different projects.
