Beyond the recent pandemic, the need for remote access to care has been an omnipresent problem for rural and remote patients who do have not access to face-to-face care regardless of a remote geographic location, physical immobility or overall public health constraints. The rise in connected wireless medical devices (i.e. biosensors, IoMTs, wearables etc) and mobile health applications are presenting new opportunities to monitor and deliver some form of “health care” while presenting significant issues on trust and validation in the data generated and outcomes. This session will address three different use cases for these devices/applications and the critical changes impeding progress to utilizing these devices to driving better health outcomes for patients.
