IEEE P1451-99 standard defines a method for data sharing, interoperability, and security of messages over a network, where sensors, actuators and other devices can interoperate, regardless of underlying communication technology. In this technical talk, we discuss some of the core concepts of harmonization, challenges and applications; demo of a reference implementation (under active development) to visualize the concepts of harmonization of IoT data.
