Welcome to the Pharmaceutical Industry’s First Open Space Technology Collaboration Forum

Rather than a pre-set agenda and canned presentations, attendees will devise a multi-track agenda that meets their needs in real-time.  As an
Open Space event, you're invited to speak and share, pose questions or ask for input. If you have an idea for a session right away or think of one in the middle of the conference, you’re welcome to propose it and run a session.

The unique design of this Forum enables us to bring together a robust concentration of technologists, researchers, government regulators, academia, clinicians, pharmaceutical business and technical professionals, patient advocacy leaders, and other critical stakeholders. They will convene at this Forum because they are eager to understand how to leverage new technologies to unlock the answers hidden in patient and scientific data.

Address Technology Challenges and Create Opportunities Across the Pharmaceutical Value Chain

This forum will focus on discussion and collaboration and the viable the use of AI, IoMT/Sensors, ML, Blockchain/DLTS, VR/AR to address challenges and create opportunities in the following areas of the pharmaceutical value chain:

  • R&D
  • Discovery
  • Genomics
  • Quality Compliance
  • Clinical Trials Research and Operations Process (Patient Recruitment, Data provenance,
  • Patient Monitoring, etc)
  • Drug Manufacturing (Raw Materials thru Commercialization)
  • Supply Chain (Packaging, labeling, security, distribution)
  • Third party risk management
  • Post-Market Surveillance
  • Plus, any other topic you identify as relevant and critical to the conversation and the solution.

Who would benefit from participating in Deep Tech Pharma Forum?
  • You are an innovative, inquisitive or progressive business or technical professional with current responsibilities within the pharma or life science value chain (ie. R&D, clinical trials/research, manufacturing, marketing, supply chain/distribution)
  • You would like to better understand how deep technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), distributed ledger technologies (DLT)/blockchain, IoMTs, VR/MR will revolutionized the drug development and distribution process.
  • You are eager to be with critical stakeholders (ie. patients, pharma industry professionals, regulatory, clinicians, and others) collaborate with developers of cutting-edge technologies to leverage data assets for accelerating the development of medicine from bench to bedside
  • You are passionate and committed to finding better ways to conduct clinical trials, secure the pharmaceutical supply chain, leverage existing R&D data, empower patients to be an active partner in the drug development process.

Why you should attend the Deep Tech Pharma Forum
  • This is a participatory event. You, the attendee, will propose and lead sessions in real-time at the conference on relevant topics, ideas and challenges that matter to you.
  • This is an outcome-based event. Deep Tech Pharma Forum is the platform to help progress new ideas, offer insights to overcoming challenges, and design processes and protocols to drive adoption of these technologies.
  • The time is right. Pharma’s operational approach to the development and distribution of medicine requires innovative thinking and technologies. The cutting-edge technologies are here; now we need all the key players to come together and put them to work to deliver on the promise of a more secure, efficient, and optimized patient experience.

How it Works

The Agenda is Created Live Each Day By You
The agenda will be created live each morning by attendees who are present at the opening of the day. Anyone who wants to host a session that day will announce the topic and chose a space and time. There is no voting or picking, other than with your feet, where you choose to go. In addition, you'll have plenty of chances to exchange ideas and network.

Dynamic Participation and Tangible Outcomes
With no assigned speakers or panels, it's about getting stuff done. The event is designed to deliver outcomes – (i.e industry notes repository, new pre-standards workstreams, etc).

To ensure each day progresses in a organized manner that meets everyone's needs and objectives, a certified Open Space facilitator will manage the process.
